- Garment is received, quality checked, and any follow-up action determined.
- Faults, spots and marks are identified and appropriate action taken.
- Appropriate attachments are selected and used.
- Pressing is sequenced.
- Work is positioned on pressing equipment according to product requirements.
- Heat, steam, vacuum, pressure and time are applied according to product requirements and fabric specifications.
- Work is pressed according to OHS practices.
- Equipment and work handling are controlled for variations in work type and construction and pressing requirements.
- Despatch pressed garment
- Pressed garment is inspected and compared against workplace pressing standards.
- Results of inspection of work are recorded.
- Subsequent action to correct faulty work is reported and recorded.
- Preventative action taken to avoid any recurrence of faulty work is recorded.
- Pressed garment is hung or packed and directed to required despatch area, despatch storage or packing sections.
